The Capitol Area Special Olympics presents Fair in the Square! Come out to support this new chapter in Baton Rouge. The event is open to the public and offers FREE entertainment! Donations are welcome.

Darrel Scott at the Manship Theatre
Musicians know the name of Darrell Scott and so should you! Darrell has written songs for folks like Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Guy Clark, The Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and countless others. Along with his songwriting, Scott is also in demand as a sideman and bandleader, most recently with Robert Plant's Band of Joy. Darrel Scott and the Manship's grand piano are just made for each other! New Orleans singer/songwriter Patrick Cooper opens the show.

This is the 3rd Annual Woman's Half Marathon + 10K Road Race and is the Gulf South's only major running event for women. The race is November 16, 2014 and begins on River Road.

LSU will be heading up to Arkansas this week and you can catch all of the pregame coverage as well as the game on the North Boulevard Town Media Beacon. The game will begin at 7PM.

P.3+ Baton Rouge Reception
Four days will be jam-packed with art and culture to inspire and entertain the citizens of Baton Rouge. The opening reception for P.3+ Notes Upriver, presented in collaboration with Elevator Projects, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and the Walls Project, will take place in various locations this weekend from Nov. 13-16. P.3+ Notes Upriver is part of the art biennial Prospect New Orleans, which officially started on Oct. 25 and will last until Jan. 25.

New Art Installation with Silas Breaux at LSUMOA
The LSU Museum of Art will unveil a new art installation from emerging local artist Silas Breaux in the museum's grand entrance on Saturday, November 15, at 4 p.m. Breaux was selected from among 20 other artists as the winner of the museum's Love Local Art contest.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler and Louisiana's Old State Capitol Associates present "Nooks and Crannies of The Old State Capitol: An Insider's Tour". Guest speaker will be Kevin Harris, F.A.I.A. Join us Wednesday, November 19th at 5:00PM for a reception and and 6:00PM for a lecture. There will be no charge for Associates members and a $10 charge for non-members. Students with ID will be $5.00.
