Reminder: August DDD Commission Meeting / Agenda
The DDD Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday morning August 11th at 8 am in the Manship Theatre at 100 Lafayette Street.
The DDD Commission is also proud to announce that Progress Is will host Tom Hennes, world renowned designer and founder of Thinc Design, at 8:30 AM. During Hennes' presentation, he will present the ALIVE concept which his team designed and he will also conduct a public question and answer session following the presentation. This event is designed to INFORM the public about an important component of the proposed Capital Improvements Plan. The presentation will immediately follow the Downtown Development District's monthly meeting which begins at 8:00AM. Both meetings are open to the public.
Thinc is a leading exhibition design firm serving clients throughout the United States and the world. The firm conceives and designs innovative projects that generate visitor engagement and active participation among diverse publics. Founded by Tom Hennes in 1992, Thinc is based in New York City. Their work is in natural history museum science centers, heritage museums, aquariums, botanical gardens and theme parks with services including strategic and conceptual planning, exhibition design, media development, and project implementation.
