The second annual 'We Live It' Downtown Distinction Award campaign continues to recognize downtown businesses and organizations for their outstanding efforts to beautify and maintain their exteriors. Each month an awardee will be recognized and at the end of twelve months, the people will vote for their favorite!

JULY AWARDEE / ENTERTAINMENT VENUE CATEGORY
Located in the heart of the Arts and Entertainment District, the Shaw Center for the Arts is an arts complex that incorporates historic architecture and modern design. It features the Manship Theatre, Hartley/Vey Theatres, LSU Museum of Modern Art, LSU School of Art Glassell Gallery, Tsunami Restaurant, event space, gift shop, and several non-profit offices.

The Shaw Center for the Arts opened in 2005 and catalyzed several surrounding developments. It is adjacent to North Boulevard Town Square and offers stunning views of the Mississippi River. Several events are hosted throughout the year at the Shaw Center for the Arts and it is a popular place for those looking for cultural and artistic entertainment!
