Downtown is pleased to welcome Dr. Karen M. Soniat as the new president and executive director of the Louisiana Art and Science Museum.
Soniat currently serves at the associate vice president for Institutional Advancement/Annual Giving and Membership for The National WWII Museum in New Orleans and is a part of the executive leadership team.
Soniat will be LASM's fourth president and executive director since 1962. She will officially begin on May 1.

The Baton Rouge Zydeco averaged 3,958 fans per game. Attendance numbers for the season exceeded 110,000, team president Don Lewis said.
The economic impact study by Visit Baton Rouge showed that the hockey team brought $8.1 million into the local economy, particularly downtown. Thank you Baton Rouge!
