On Friday, September 20th from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., join us in Downtown Baton Rouge for Park(ing) Day!
Park(ing) Day is a global event where parking spaces are transformed into creative social spaces, mini gardens, and parklets with unique themes. Originally started by the Rebar art and design studio in San Francisco in 2005, this event promotes safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people. It's a fun way to raise awareness about urban planning, sustainability, and the importance of community engagement.
The Downtown Development District (DDD), Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX), and Reich Landscape Architecture (RLA) have teamed up with local businesses and organizations to bring this event to life. This event is free and open to the public!
