Exciting news for coffee enthusiasts! City Roots Coffee Bar is extending its presence to the Downtown Baton Rouge area with the opening of a second location at II City Plaza. You can enjoy their signature brews and delicious food Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m., perfect for breakfast or lunch. With a cozy atmosphere and wide variety of food and beverages, City Roots is the perfect place to sip, savor and relax in the heart of downtown.

EAT LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
Join LASM for a unique and immersive evening at Eat Like an Egyptian: A Talk, Tasting, and Mini Bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the historic Adalie Brent Auditorium.

This exclusive event will feature a panel discussion with local food experts who will share their knowledge and specialties-including spices, bread, cheese, honey, and tea-connecting their products to both ancient and modern Egyptian cuisine. Each speaker will present for 5-10 minutes, offering insights and flavors that transport you to the rich culinary traditions of Egypt. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Do not miss out on this extraordinary experience!

JAMBALAYA JAM RECAP
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year's Jambalaya Jam a success! The Capital Area United Way raised an incredible $214,284, thanks to the participation of 59 teams along with the hard work of 84 dedicated volunteers. We cannot wait until next year's Jam!
