20th Anniversary of Jamie Wax's Goin' To Jackson
Don't miss your last chance to catch Jamie Wax in his critically acclaimed one man show before it is retired this summer! Jamie Wax performs a comedic act that portrays five separate mental patients at the East Louisiana State Mental Hospital in Jackson, La. These characters are all in competition to be the spokesmodel for a mental health campaign. It's guaranteed to be a great show.

This Saturday, the Baton Rouge River Center will host the most anticipated night of MMA fights in Baton Rouge history with former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ricco "Sauve" Rodriguez, former LSU Fullback Shawn "Savage" Jordan, and many others including two championship bouts. Doors Open at 6pm, Fights Begin at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $20.

Summer Sounds at St. James
Catch internationally renowned performers, Katherine Kemler, Professor of Flute at LSU and harpist Kimberly Houser, a professional-in-residence at LSU, as part of Summer Sounds at St. James, an evening of music each Wednesday in July at 7:00PM! The admission price for each concert is $10; college students with a valid ID will be admitted free. A reception follows each concert so that the audience may have opportunity to meet the performers and obtain their CDs.

Table Tops Auction at the Market
This Saturday's Market will feature Everything Eggplant! The Market will have many varieties of eggplant available including traditional purple, pale lavender, white and green. The Fresh from the Market cooking show welcomes Kelly Patrick Williams this Saturday. Chef Celeste and Chef Williams will highlight the many varieties of eggplant available at the Market in summer recipes for Market shoppers. The show begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. Be sure to stop by the Table Tops auction inside the main entrance to the Market. You can bid on a table to have in your own home! Tickets for the Lagniappe Table giveaway will also be available for $10.

"Save Our Waters"
The International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) has been helping birds around the world since 1971. Its mission is to mitigate human impact on aquatic birds and other wildlife. This is achieved through rehabilitation, emergency response, education, research, planning and training. Help support our coast and the IBRRC at Dalton's this Saturday, July 31 with entertainment by CottonMouth. Doors open at 7PM, band starts at 8:30PM. No cover but a $5 donation is requested.
