Early Voting Downtown
Voters in the Downtown area can cast their vote early for the October 2nd election at:

The polls will be open through this Saturday, September 25th from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.

When you go to cast your vote early, you will be asked to identify yourself with either a photo ID or signature on a voter affidavit. You may use a driver's license, a Louisiana Special ID or some other generally recognized picture ID that has your name and signature.

The one-hour documentary captures what is most at risk environmentally as we continue to take the Gulf coast state for granted, while simultaneously reminding us of the culture that binds the region.

United We Jam
Capital Area United Way is excited to bring a fresh spin to a longtime community tradition. For 23 years, United Way has hosted one of the largest jambalaya cookoff events in the State. This year, they are setting up on Third Street and partnering with local restaurants and bars to create a signature downtown event with live entertainment and something for everyone!

This week at the Market
This Saturday's Fresh from the Market weekly cooking show will feature Chef Michael Domenick from Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant in downtown Baton Rouge. Chef Domenick and host Chef Celeste Gill will shop the Red Stick Farmers Market for fresh ingredients and demonstrate seasonal recipes for the home cook. The show begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. Following the Fresh from the Market show, the Bluegrass Jam will gather and perform inside Main Street Market at 11 AM. Local musicians are invited bring your instrument and join the group for this festive jam session.

13th Gate Haunted House
The 13th Gate is the ultimate haunted house! Journey through 13 very frightening themed indoor and outdoor areas where your worst nightmares come true and anything can happen. The 13th Gate has consistently been recognized as one of the top Haunted Attractions in the country. The 13th gate will open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting September 23 - October 16th and nightly from October 21 - October 31 starting at 6:30 pm.

One Performance Only
Alan Morrison, organist at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, will perform a concert celebrating Robbie Giroir's 25 years as organist at St. Joseph Cathedral on Sunday, September 26, 4PM.
