Shop the Markets for Your Thanksgiving Feast Farmers and food artisans will offer a variety of desserts for Thanksgiving including pies, sugar cane syrup cakes, Louisiana citrus, first of the season strawberries, tarts, cakes, cookies, and cheesecakes. Other holiday specialties include winter squash, sweet potatoes, seasonal greens, pecans, mushrooms, artisan cheeses, jasmine rice and native Louisiana wines. Join the Fresh from the Market cooking show to learn how to create a Farmers Market Feast with local produce, nuts, breads, native Louisiana wines and artisan cheeses. Chef Celeste Gill will host award winning local Chef Nathan Gresham from Beausoleil Restaurant & Bar as they share menu ideas to make this year's Thanksgiving dinner a special Louisiana treat. Musical entertainment will include The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz and the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society throughout the morning. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.
