MSN's Appetite for Life with Andrew Zimmern is an entertaining journey into the heart and soul of America- through its food and its people. Each episode finds Zimmern in a new city, sampling its unique cultural and culinary experiences, while lending a helping hand to people in need. 2012 CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade
Parade your pooch in Baton Rouge's favorite family-friendly Mardi Gras event. The theme this year is "The Good, The Bad & and The Furry". Anyone can enter to walk in the parade and this is the largest fund-raiser for CAAWS with all profits going directly to support the shelter.

Lucy's Now Open on Sundays!
Lucy's Retired Surfer's Bar and Restaurant is extending their service to Sundays. Lucy's dishes are cool and refreshing so come on downtown grab some surfer grub. They have brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM -3PM featuring $5 New Orleans Style Bloody Marys and $3 Mimosas.

Saturday at Main Street Market
The Fresh from the Market cooking show welcomes Chef Charles Wilford this Saturday with tips for adding fresh, seasonal produce into your menu planning. Shoppers are encouraged to gather in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market at 10 am to watch the cooking demonstration and sample the chef's completed dish. Shoppers will also find an abundance of winter produce including root vegetables, tender greens, Louisiana citrus and strawberries, along with baked goods, honey, seasonal plants and dairy products. Be sure to arrive early for the best picks! The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM on the corner of Fifth and Main Streets.
