Downtown Mardi Gras

The Downtown Development District would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Mardi Gras. This downtown Mardi Gras season comes to a close this weekend as the 32nd Annual Spanish Town Parade rolls out this Saturday around 3:30PM so come early and bring your lawn chairs! We would like to remind everyone about a few policies regarding parade festivities downtown. There are no glass bottles or containers allowed! While enjoying the festivities please remember to be responsible and respectful of your neighbors, the downtown streetscape and parking lots.

The Beauregard Town walking parade starts in front of the Old Governor's Mansion and strolls at noon on Mardi Gras Day as it snakes it's way through Historic Beauregard Town. What sets this parade apart is that everyone who watches is invited to "join in" the parade! It is a human powered parade with bicycles, pedestrians, and peddle-powered "floats" welcome! Events Following the Spanish Town Parade

		Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's Keep the party going after the parade at B & T's as Chase Tyler will be playing at 4PM followed by Luv Sexy at 9PM. The Budweiser Crew and Bud Girls will be there after the parade as well, so get ready for an exciting evening. 4PM

		Fishbone at Hartley Vey Studio Celebrating 25 groundbreaking years, Fishbone has been trailblazing their way through the history of American Ska and Rock Fusion since starting their professional career in Los Angeles' burgeoning, Alternative Rock music scene of the mid 1980s. Their sound has often been imitated, but never duplicated. They have toured worldwide with such bands as the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Les Claypool/Primus, Fela Kuti, The Dead Kennedys and many more. 5:30PM

		Snapper and the Fishsticks at Happy's Snapper and the Fishsticks pride themselves on their unique song selection and incomparable blend of instrumentation and energy which they bring to every performance.
