Touchdown Express at North Boulevard Town Square
The Capital Area Transit System is providing transportation to and from all 2012 LSU home football games. For only $4, fans can be picked up in North Boulevard Town Square as well as other locations around the city. The shuttle will run 4hrs before the games and 1 hour after. Show up early in Town Square for LSU music, college football on the big screen and activities for the kids!

Pastime LSU Shuttle
Pastime Restaurant offers their shuttle service for LSU homes games for $12. The first shuttle begins 3 hours before the kickoff and drops passengers off at the corner of Nicholson & Skip Bertman Drive. The pick-up after the game will be at Mike's Cage with the last bus heading back to Pastime no later than 30 minutes after the final gun.

LASM Kids' Lab
Explore the dynamic world of chemistry in hands-on Kids' Lab workshops for children ages 6-12 and a parent or caregiver. One adult caregiver is required for every four children, and participants must sign in at least 20 minutes before the workshop. Kids' will love creating fun with chemistry!

Red Stick Farmer's Market
Chef Celeste Gill will be the featured chef this weekend for the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market. Chef Celeste offers catering and emergency food services throughout the Baton Rouge region. On Saturday she will demonstrate quick ways to feed unexpected guests using local ingredients from the Farmers Market. Stop by the Market Hospitality booth for a chance at a special farmers market basket giveaway. Contributions will be accepted for the Louisiana Small Farm Survival Fund to assist farmers affected by Hurricane Isaac. The fund provides gap funding and assistance with recovery efforts for farmers who experience crop losses, equipment or structure damage due to natural disasters. Choose from late summer produce, meats, dairy, seafood, baked goods and plants while you listen to the smooth tunes of local musician Kevin Johnson.

ZoliArt: Local Art in the Plaza
ZoliArt in the plaza is a month long art exhibit kicking off on September 6th at Zolia Bistro with live Jazz music. The Art will be displayed in the restaurant along with the main lobby of City Plaza 1 & 2 and the promenade which separates the two buildings.

USS Kidd Freedom Walk & Patriot Day Observances
Originally created in 2005 to commemorate the attack on the Pentagon and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the Freedom Walk has grown into a nationwide event. The starting point for the walk will be at the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial. The route will start at the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial and will proceed southward along South River Road for ½ mile before returning to the KIDD for a total distance of one (1) mile. A memorial service will be held on the museum grounds to honor those Louisiana natives who were lost in the Pentagon and World Trade Center attacks: Lt. Michael Scott Lamana (USN), Kevin Wayne Yokum (USN), Louis Calvin Williams III, Leo Russell Keen, and Robert J. Hymel. The Walk will take place immediately afterward. Kress Gallery Reception Rescheduled
The Kress Gallery & BR Walls Project present works by: John Wax, Katie Knoeringer, & Michael Secor. Donations will be accepted to extend the number of murals painted by the BR Walls Project. Due to Hurricane Isaac the opening reception has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:30pm.
