Krewe of Artemis Parade
The Krewe of Artemis 11th Annual Mardi Gras Parade will roll through the streets of downtown Baton Rouge on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with the theme, "Artemis Loves Louisiana". Join the excited revelers as they line the parade route while joining in the festivities and experiencing Baton Rouge Mardi Gras....Artemis style!! Revelers will be treated with themed throws, including the Krewe of Artemis'
signature High Heeled Shoe, along with footballs, tambourines, stuffed animals, float beads and lighted throws.

Krewe of Mystique Parade
Baton Rouge's oldest parading Mardi Gras krewe, The Krewe of Mystique de la Capitale is celebrating thirty-five years of carnival fun. A long time favorite of downtown Baton Rouge, the parade provides fun for the whole family.

Krewe of Orion Parade
The Krewe of Orion's 14th annual Mardi Gras parade will roll in downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. The parade theme for 2013 is "Les Festivales Internationale". Parade goers will be treated to a line of exciting, colorful traditional lighted and tractor-pulled floats. On the floats, masked and costumed riders will throw plenty of themed parade medallions, Krewe of Orion signature footballs, cups, plush animals, Orion swords, doubloons, lighted throws, and beads. Marching bands and marching units will be among the great sights and sounds at this wonderful family-oriented parade.

Superbowl Bowl Fan Fest
Locals and tourists are invited to come downtown for Mardi Gras parades and live music with Louisiana flare! Bands will start Friday on the Town Lawn Stage with The Mulligan Brothers from 12pm-2pm. Orphan Annie, Pop/Rock mix of old and new variety, will perform from 4pm-6:30pm on Friday. Come out on Saturday and listen to the Young Band Nation Blues Project at 2PM; Impressive local talent from Baton Rouge Music Studios. Finally at 4pm-6:30pm Rockin Dopsie and the Zydeco Twisters will perform Cajun, Zydeco and varied genre to create a dynamic show.

The Best of Opera and Broadway

CATS Unveils Bus Tracker System
Today at a press conference in North Boulevard Town Square CATS personnel announced the new AVL bus tracking system. CEO Brian Marshall also discussed the policy and financial progress made by CATS over the last year. The new AVL system allows riders to track buses in route. Tracking can be done through a smart phone, text message, CATS webpage, and digital display screens.
